Hydrolases of the digestive glands in human sweat

چکیده
The sweat eccrine and apocrine glands of human skin secrete many functionally significant substances, including hydrolytic enzymes, onto its surface through the mechanisms secretion, excretion recruitment. Shown is their recreational origin as a secretory product digestive glands—pepsinogen by stomach glands, α-amylase—by pancreas. Hydrolases in epidermal barrier provide hydrolysis proteins, carbohydrates fats have antibacterial, antiviral antidehydration eff ects. functional role importance gland hydrolases requires special research.

Variation in the Functional Power of Human Sweat Glands
A method has been worked out for the measurement of the volume of sweat produced by individual glands. A special paper, impregnated with iodine, absorbs water in a uniform way and shows the area of wetting by a sharply defined blue dot. Indirect calibrations showed that 1 cm.(3) of water would form a spot of 700 cm.(2) area, and that this relation of volume to area was a constant one over a wid...
متن کاملFatigue of the sweat glands.
The rate of sweat secretion has been shown to decrease during prolonged exposure to heat (1-3). This phenomenon has practical importance in the etiology of heat stroke, since the evaporation of sweat is the only significant means for dissipating heat when the environmental temperature equals or exceeds the body temperature. It is not known whether this decrease in sweating rate is due to a fail...
متن کاملThe Ultrastructure and Histophysiology of Human Eccrine Sweat Glands
The electron microscopy of human eccrine sweat glands has been studied before and after stimulation by pilocarpine iontophoresis. The identity of the dark and clear cells in the secretory segment as defined by Montagna et al. (23) was determined by studying serial sections, thin for electron microscopy and thick for light microscopy. Cells with numerous apical secretory vacuoles are termed muco...
متن کاملMicrowave thermolysis of sweat glands.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Hyperhidrosis is a condition that affects a large percentage of the population and has a significant impact on peoples' lives. This report presents a technical overview of a new noninvasive, microwave-based device for creating thermolysis of sweat glands. The fundamental principles of operation of the device are presented, as well as the design and optimization of the ...
متن کاملMetabolic studies of isolated human eccrine sweat glands.
This paper describes a method for isolating and studying the metabolism of human eccrine sweat glands. (a) Electron microscopy of glands which had been isolated and then incubated for an hour revealed no apparent alteration in morphology. (b) Known variation in gland size (male > female > children) was reflected in the relative rates of lactate production. (c) Lactate production was approximate...
